 StoryTelling Minimize

The Review Page from The Parent's Press: "Who says all the best performing talent is in LA or New York? One Misty Moisty Morning (an anthology of songs, poems, and stories),  a new children's album by Brad Bowles and Nancy Harris, should put Denver on the map--at least where creative children's material is concerned." Sept.'84

This recent email made me smile...another generation will have the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful anthology in two volumes!

Good Evening Nancy,

I was curious if it was possible to order a copy of both volumes of "One Misty, Moisty Morning". We listened to these as children and, as we realized tonight, we can still recite many of the stories and songs by heart. I would like to order a copy of each to share with my nephews. Please let us know if it is still possible to get copies of these wonderful recordings.

Thanks for your time and hope you are well. - Clay S.

More Preview Listener Responses:

I wanted to say WELL DONE on your CD – very impressive!  you went to a great deal of trouble getting it just right! Dustie

You really have a lovely voice. Delicious, full tone, which gives away your choral and operatic training. But your colloquial diction and natural phrasing on these ballads is just great, with a lot of expression in the wording that really appeals to me.
I feel that I can hear you thinking the lines as you go--which is not true, for me, with many pro's in the field. I also like that you mostly sing the lines straight--what Mort called "singing the song"--instead of hoking them up or exhibiting a "style." You chose some wonderful old standards, of course, which I love. (I'd forgotten about "Around Midnight," and it gave me great pleasure to hear it again.)

So, congratulations! And thanks for sending this to me. I like it the best of the things you've sent. (You also sound like you're having fun with these songs, which is another plus.)
 Terry

About the CD, love it! I listen to it in the car on my way to work! Nici

Thank you so much for your brilliant CD which arrived yesterday.   I've listened to it twice.  Wonderful!   My favourite tracks are the title track and Willow Weep For Me, but they are all really good.  Your voice is so pure and you have such a range. The cover is super too.  What a talented girl you are.   You have done so much with your life.  Jan

You  have a very smoky voice, really well-suited to this style! Shane, opera singer

I love your CD. I listen to it all of the time! Bil R., playwright, producer

I finally created time to sit down and listen to the "With All My Heart" cd.  Very nice.  I could just see Nance at a baby grand in some classy cabaret.  Peter

“You have a gorgeous voice” Betty
